DETERMINE THE LEVELS OF ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION AMONG COUPLES HAVING IVF AND SOME RELATED FACTORS AT VINMEC TIMES CITY INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL IN 2021

Abstract

Objectives: To determine levels of anxiety and depression of IVF participants and analysis of some factor linkages at Vinmec Times City Hospital in 2021. Methods: Using HADS set of survey questions Monitor anxiety and depression in 128 people undergoing In vitro fertilization (IVF), thereby assessing some of the factor links to anxiety and depression. Results: The proportion of participants with anxiety was 14.8%; depression was 17.2%. Factors that increase the risk of anxiety among people performing IVF was: age ≥ 30 years (OR = 10.2; 95% CI = 3.1 - 34.1), state of primary infertility (OR = 2.85; 95% CI = 1.9 - 8.3), IVF has never been performed (OR = 7.5; 95% CI = 1.5 - 36.0). Factors that increase the risk of depression are age ≥ 30 years (OR = 8.5; 95% CI = 2.8 - 25.8), state of primary infertility (OR = 6.5; CI 95 % = 3.1 - 8.5). Conclusion: Factors that increase the risk of anxiety and depression of IVF people: Age, primary infertility status, never performed IVF
