KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICE AND SOME FACTORS RELATED TO LIFESTYLE CHANGES AT HOME OF HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS UNDERGOING OUTPATIENT TREATMENT AT PHU HOA DISTRICT MEDICAL CENTER - PHU YEN PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives: Describe the knowledge and practice of lifestyle changes at home of outpatient hypertensive. Identify some factors related to the knowledge and practice of lifestyle changes at home of outpatient hypertensive. Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out with a sample size of 132 hypertensive patients are being treated as outpatients at the Phu Hoa district health center, Phu Yen province from December 2021 to May 2022. Results: The percentage of patients with correct knowledge about lifestyle changes at home was 75%. The percentage of patients who practice successful lifestyle changes of hypertensive patients undergoing outpatient treatment at the health center of Phu Hoa district was 48.5%. Conclusion: The percentage of patients who have achieved knowledge is high, but practice is still low. Interventions are needed to change the incorrect practice of patients
