CURRENT STATE OF PATIENTS’ KNOWLEDGE OF PREVENTION OF RECURRENT ACUTE PANCREATITIS DISEASE AT PROVINCIAL NAM DINH GENERAL HOSPITAL IN 2021
Abstract
Objectives: The research was conducted to evaluate the patients’ knowledge in prevention of recurrent acute pancreatitis disease at provincial Nam Dinh General Hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 70 patients who came for examination and treatment at provincial Nam Dinh General Hospital from November 2020 to January 2021.Results: 50% of patients knew about the cause of disease which was alcohol abuse, 72.9% of patients knew about signs of abdominal pain. In the stable stage, 30% of patients awared correctly that they need to eat many small meals, 57.1% of patients awared correctly about the limit of fat consumption. 22.9% of patients awared correctly about no smoking, 57.1% of patients had correct awareness about the exercise regime, 40% of patients had correct awareness about the time of re-examination. Conclusion: The knowledge of patients with acute pancreatitis in prevention of recurrence disease was remain low
