Treatment adherence among patients with type 2 diabetes at Nam Dinh provincial Endocrinology hospital
Abstract
Objective: To determine the treatment adherence among patients with type 2 diabetes undergoing outpatient treatment at Nam Dinh Provincial Endocrinology Hospital. Participants and methods: Patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes undergoing outpatient treatment at Nam Dinh Provincial Endocrinology Hospital from April 1, 2021, to April 30, 2021, were included in the study, Cross-sectional descriptive study. The participants were selected according to the selection criteria. The sample size of the study was 384 patients. Results: The research results indicated that 90,4% of patients adhered to using vegetables in meals, 93.48% of patients exercise, 88% of patients take medicine regularly as prescribed by doctors, 92.7% of patients adhered to regular regular check-ups. Conclusion: 53.4% of patients adhered to the dietary regimen, 80% of patients adhered to physical activity, 92.18% of patients adhered to medication regimen, 34.9% of patients adhered to blood sugar control and regular check-ups; 19.27% of patients adhered to all 4 treatment regimens, 29.42% of patients adhered to 3 treatment regimens, 41.14% of patients adhered to 2 treatment regimens, and 8.61% of patients adhered to 1 treatment regimen
