About 385 students from all academic majors took part in this study and they completed a list of questions based on Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ). Results: The prevalence of the recommended levels of physical activity was 68%. Factors associated with levels of physical activity were gender, academic majors, school year, transporting by bicycles (p < 0,05). Main barriers were “lack of interest” and “high cost for physical activity”. Conclusion: The prevalence of physical inactivity was comparatively high. The university must extend the exercise programs and provide the necessary facilities to enhance physical activity among students, especially female students
