Abstract

Objectives: To assess the care of depressed patients through prehospital care, physical examination, and comparison of care through treatment time. Subjects and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study, interviewed 51 patients diagnosed with depressive disorder. Results of preoperative history and physical examination. The onset of the majority is in the 30-59 age group. The proportion of women is higher than in men. The psychological, environmental and social factors related to depression account for the highest proportion of economic difficulties, patients with chronic diseases and a number of other factors. Relatives die, social evils. Most of the patients admitted to the hospital were in slow or no contact. Some clinical symptoms of mood, motor depression in patients with high frequency of depression; bored, depressed; loss of interest, enjoyment; .... Patients in the hospital have sleep disorders at different levels. 3.9% of patients had suicidal ideation and behavior upon admission. On the first day of hospitalization, 81.2% of the patients had anorexia or poor eating. In particular, five patients (19.8%) resisted eating. Conclusions: Most of the underlying symptoms of RLTC are significantly improved after two weeks of treatment. Need to detect, closely monitor patients with the idea of self-suicide avoids the risk of harm to patients.
