IMPLEMENTATING OF SPUTUM SUCTION THROUGH ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE FOR PATIENTS WITH INVASIVE MECHANICAL VENTILATION AT NAMDINH GENERAL HOSPITAL 2018
Abstract
Objective: To describe the implementating of sputum suction for patients with mechanical ventilation through the endotracheal tube of the nurse and to identify factors related to the care for patients at intensive care and poison control unit at Namdinh general hospital. Method: A cross-sectional description was conducted to observa nurses with activities of sputum suction for patients with mechanical ventilation have setting endotracheal tube at intensive care and poison control unit from 01/2018 to 04/2018. Results: 74.91% of the subjects were female, 21.77% of participants have diploma degrees. Nurses who have ≤ 5 years working experience were acounted for 35.42%; 64.94% of nurses were not on duty when implementating of sputum suction for patients. Among the group of patients, 72.32% were male, 15.5% were on voluntary treatment room, 45.76% were used mechanical ventilation <= 2 days. Conclusion: Implementating of sputum suction through endotracheal tube of nurses basic is well done.
