NURSE’ KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE CATHETER ASSOCIATED URINARY TRACT INFECTION PREVENTION OF NURSING STUDENTSAT VINH PHUC SESONDARY MEDICAL 2019
Abstract
Objective: To describe the knowledge and attitudes of nursing students,towards catheter associated urinary tract infection prevention at Vinh Phuc Secondary Medical and to determined the relate between Demographic data of the participating nurse,students with knowledge and attitudes of nursing students, towards catheter associated urinary tract infection prevention. Method: A cross-sectional multicenter study 326 nursing students, at Vinh Phuc Secondary Medical from May to November 2019. Data were collected using two questionnaire assess the Knowledge and Attitudes towards catheter associated urinary tract infection prevention. Results: The results showed that the mean ± SD score of CAUTI prevention knowledge and Attitudes was 6,75 ± 1,45 and Attitudes was 28,96 ± 2,64. The results also showed that nursing students’: previous training catheter associated urinary tract infection prevention were significantly relate to the knowledge and clinical placemen, previous training catheter associated urinary tract infection prevention were significantly relate to the attitudes about catheter associated urinary tract infection prevention. Conclusion: Nurse,students at Vinh Phuc Secondary Medical had moderate knowledge and attitudes towards catheter associated urinary tract infection prevention.
