RESEARCH FOR BUILDING PRODUCTION PROCESS OF VICENSE (HISBISSCUS SABDARIFFA L.) SEEDS GROWN IN THANH HOA

Abstract

Hisbisscus sabdariffa L. is a medicinal herb commonly used in remedies to improve body heat, reduce inflammation, diuretic, lower blood pressure, etc. Results of research on building process of seed production of hibiscus: The best time to sow seeds is early March and to harvest seeds is at the end of October to November. The germination rate is 79 - 82%, the highest seed yield is 441 kg-456 kg dry seeds/ha, P1,000 seeds = 78 grams, growing time 252-253 days. The most suitable planting distance is 30 x 50 cm. (6.66 thousand plants/ha) for seed yield of 440 kg of dry seeds/ha. Amount of fertilizer: 15 ton P/C + 150kg N + 200kg P₂O₅ + 120kg K₂O/ha for seed yield of 437.6 kg dry seed/ha.
