THE IMPACT OF URBANIZATION ON THE FORMATION OF TERRITORIAL AGRICULTURAL ORGANIZATION IN THANH HOA CITY

Abstract

On the basis of statistical documents and survey and methods: comparison, analysis and synthesis, the authors have identified 5 characteristics of the current urbanization process of Thanh Hoa city, including: rapid population growth, rapidly expanding urban area, shrinking agricultural land area, changing architectural space and being divided into 6 functional sub-regions. These characteristics have promoted the formation of 9 forms of agricultural territorial organization, including: urban gardens, agriculture on public land, agriculture on office campus, agriculture in parks, farms, aquaculture farm, specialized farming areas, forestry parks and agricultural belts. The authors also propose solutions to effectively develop these forms of agricultural territorial organization.
