Abstract

<div class="page" data-page-number="1" data-loaded="true"> <div class="textLayer">In the context of increasingly severe environmental issues, the use of reusable water bottles is considered a sustainable consumption behavior that should be promoted, especially among students, who play a significant role in shaping future consumption trends; this study aims to confirm the psychological factors influencing the behavioral intention to use reusable water bottles among students in Vietnam, based on the Extended Parallel Process Model (EPPM); data were collected from 299 students using purposive sampling and analysed using PLS-SEM; the results indicate that factors such as perceived severity, self-efficacy, and response efficacy have a positive influence on behavioural intention, and moreover, perceived severity moderates the relationship between self-efficacy and behavioral intention, suggesting that communication campaigns should emphasise individual agency and the positive outcomes of the behaviour, rather than solely focusing on environmental threat warnings.</div> </div>
