The relationship between personality traits, psychological capital and job satisfaction to organisational commitment of employees in the public sector - A case study of Kien Giang Province
Abstract
The study is done to analyse the relationship between personality traits, psychological capital and job satisfaction to organisational commitment of employees in the public sector of Kien Giang Province. From the data provided by 359 employees working in the public sector, the Structural Equation Model (SEM) was applied to evaluate the impact of personality traits, psychological capital on job satisfaction, and the relationship between job satisfaction with organisational commitment. The results show that there is a positive relationship between personality traits, psychological capital to job satisfaction, and job satisfaction has a positive impact on organisational commitment. The result of the study suggested some important implications for organisation in public sector to increase job satisfaction and organisational commitment of employees.
