Basic regression models for research in business administration
Abstract
Vietnamese quantitative research in the areas of business administration is at the initial stage of international integration, resulting in a lack of systemization of knowledge and making considerable barriers for scholars. The current study addresses this issue by introducing to Vietnamese colleagues and readers some basic regression models. The author conducted a narrative review with references collected from Web of Science and reputational publishers. The results showed three basic regression models including direct effect, mediating effect, and moderating effect. Regarding to each model, the definition, the regression equations, testing techniques, and an example were provided. The current article is expected to contribute to the initial steps of systemizing knowledge of quantitative methods which has not been attractive to Vietnamese researchers.
