Abstract
Academic performance affects a student’s ability to find a job and career opportunities. In particular, in the era of technology and the current economic downturn, the university pays more attention to the quality of student training to provide high-quality human resources to meet the labour market. This study examines the relationships and influences of factors on the learning outcomes at the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking. The study uses qualitative and quantitative research methods. The qualitative approach is conducted through expert interviews and group discussions with ten students. The quantitative approach was conducted with 619 responses. Data was analyzed using Cronbach's Alpha reliability testing via SPSS 20.0, PLS-SEM model and AVE, HTMT, and VIF indicators using SmartPLS 4.0. Research results show that learner and school characteristics have a positive influence on learning outcomes, with student characteristics having a stronger significance. The study also proposes managerial implications for university administrators investing in faculty, facilities, and academic mentoring. In addition, it is necessary for students to consider motivational factors, learning goals, and the process of self-awareness of career orientation, which will bring good learning outcomes.
