Abstract

This study proposes a theoretical framework for integrating digital transformation (DT) into talent management (TM) within Vietnamese commercial banks, considering three key contextual factors: technology, organization, and environment. The framework was developed and refined through interviews with senior bank executives to ensure practical relevance. In the technological context, the study examines organizational technology capabilities, available resources, and the compatibility and usefulness of digital solutions. The organizational context focuses on employee skills and competencies, leadership support, financial and digital resources, and TM-related regulations in the DT era. The environmental context encompasses industry characteristics, market competition, business sectors, and regulatory influences. Additionally, the study suggests mechanisms and tools to optimize DT-based TM, emphasizing cost efficiency, personalized management strategies, and data-driven decision-making while ensuring integration across organizational activities. This framework serves as a foundation for effectively implementing DT in TM within commercial banks.
