Impact of corporate culture on business performance of company listed on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the characteristics of corporate culture according to Schein's model and examine the impact of these factors on the business performance of enterprises listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. The sample size is 210 companies, and the author uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to evaluate this impact. To measure the dimensions of corporate culture, the study used scales from the Organizational Culture Survey (OCS) and the Organizational Culture Indicators (OCI). The results from the SEM linear structural model show that the factors named Team orientation culture and Innovative culture have positive impacts, while Control Culture has negative impacts on business performance of the enterprises studied. The research findings from the article will add to the stream of research related to corporate culture, thereby providing a basis for making management decision to improve the business performance of enterprises in Vietnam.
