Abstract
The article aims to synthesize studies in the world and Vietnam on the issue of cyberbullying on social networks in middle school students. A total of 50 studies were selected, including 6 Vietnamese documents and 44 English documents.The topics for discussion include the situation of cyberbullying, the impact of cyberbullying, and the factors affecting cyberbullying in middle school students. The results reveal that the situation of cyberbullying in middle school students is quite common, ranging between 10 percent and 40 percent, which depends on the demographic characteristics of the individuals sampled and the cyberbullying scale used; moreover, cyberbullying has negative impacts on physical health, mental health as well as activities and behaviors of middle school students; and fnally, factors affecting cyberbullying in middle school students include demographic (gender, age), personal and situational factors. Research on cyberbullying in middle school students in Vietnam is still limited, so it is very important to study this issue in the future.
