Abstract
The ultimate goal of foreign languageteaching and learning is communicativecompetence. Speaking holds a particularly vitalposition in the communication process. Forlanguage-specialized students at the foundationlevel, developing speaking skills is of utmostimportance. Among these, interactive methodsemployed in communicative tasks have a positiveimpact on the language acquisition process ingeneral and speaking skills in particular. From theperspective of applied linguistics, this studyemploys scientific experimentation to demonstratethe constructive influence of interactive methodson enhancing vocabulary usage, grammaticalstructures, accurate language forms, attentionengagement, retelling, and precise responses ofstudents towards teaching Chinese speaking skillsat the foundation level. The research also suggeststhe application of interactive methods in thedevelopment of Chinese speaking skills at thefoundation level at Hung Vuong University
