Abstract

Drawing on the TPB theory and theCBAM model to analyze teachers' attitudes towardinnovation in curriculum development, this studyhas developed a scale to identify factorsinfluencing the behavior of middle school teachersin implementing the 2018 general educationprogram. Our survey was conducted online, involving 250 middle school teachers representingdiverse regional characteristics. Structural equationanalysis of the results demonstrated the scale'sreliability and validity, effectively identifyingfactors affecting teachers' behavioral intention toimplement the 2018 program. The primary factorsinfluencing the behavioral intentions of Vietnamesesecondary school teachers towards the 2018program were found to be subjective norms, personal autonomy, and teachers' attitudes, aligningwith research from other countries. Additionally, bydelving into broader literature and discussion, wepropose that our findings can contribute to studieson behavioral intention to implement the 2018curriculum and innovation in education morebroadly, particularly for school teachers
