Abstract
Representative competency is one of thethree component competencies of natural sciencecompetencies that need to be focused on developinglearners in the process of teaching Natural Sciencein lower secondary schools. This article aims todesign and organize the teaching of STEAM topicsin Natural Sciences to develop learners'competencies, especially representativecompetency. The current status and pedagogicalexperiment of the research are based on the crosssectional survey research method and theexperimental research method of pre-test and posttest impact on random groups. The implementationof teaching in practice has demonstrated the positivedevelopment of learners in terms of knowledge andskills and has shown the feasibility of the STEAMtopic for developing representative competency ofstudents to meet the requirements of educationalinnovation.
