Abstract
This article presents our theoretical research and experience-based results related to exploring and applying Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in Vietnam. We approach original RME researches as well as recent RME literature to discuss the full understanding of RME and propose didactical measures for applying RME in teaching and learning mathematics so that they have been suitable for a fundamental and comprehensive innovation in mathematics education in Vietnam since 2018. Together with some well-selected illustrated examples, the measures expressing our ideas are useful and helpful for high school mathematics teachers who want to apply RME to their teaching
