THE TALE OF ZHOUSHENG IN THE FLOW OF THE KOREAN MEDIEVAL MYTHICAL STORY

Abstract
Zhu Sheng’s Tale (주생전) by writerGwol Pil (권필) is one of the next long-term novelsof the Korean medieval legend genre of the late16th and early 17th centuries (after the openingcalculation of Tales of Mount Geumo and StrangeTales from a Korean Studio). Choosing the topic oflove between a man, and an actor. and a woman, abeautiful woman, the writer sought to let thecharacters challenge the constraints of feudal rites,and aim to praise and affirm the personal aspect ofhumanity, thus, the main focus is a romanticrelationship between men and women. The plotorganization combines nonfictional and fictionalfactors, with a single line, but there are more eventsand the narrative is more diverse than previousworks of the same type. Although the charactersystem is not much, the personalization aspect isgiven more attention. This contribution is profoundin Korean medieval legends that we set and explainin this article
