TRUONG DANG QUE AND HIS CONTRIBUTIONS UNDER THE REIGN OF KING MINH MENH (1820 – 1841)

Abstract

Truong Dang Que, a high official of theNguyen dynasty in the 19th century, is known forhis contributions to various fields. Specifically,under the reign of King Minh Menh (1820-1841),with the king's policy that advocates flexibility inhuman management and talent-oriented, TruongDang Que, who was in his prime, had favorableconditions to demonstrate his qualities andabilities, thus having many important contributionsto the dynasty and the country. Using historicalmethods and based on official historicaldocuments, the article focuses on analyzing andclarifying Truong Dang Que's activities during thereign of King Minh Menh. Besides, it also showsthe point of view and human management of KingMinh Menh as well as the work that the king mustcontinue to complete the administrative reform.Truong Dang Que was one of the trusted courtierswho effectively supported King Minh Menh tocontinue his ideas on reform implementation tostrengthen the management effectiveness of thecentralized state
