Abstract
Nam Dong is a poor mountainous district of Thua Thien Hue province, with a high proportion of ethnic minority populations. This study employs sociological survey methods, semistructured interviews, and a multi-dimensional evaluation framework based on quantitative indicators and SWOT analysis to comprehensively assess the current development of crop production models in the area. The primary objective is to identify and propose sustainable green agricultural models adapted to the district’s specific agroecological conditions. Results indicate that farming models grounded in traditional practices exhibit significantly lower sustainability scores than those aligned with VietGAP or organic standards, and thus selecting and proposing five most suitable models.
