Abstract

The salary and allowance regime for soldiers in the army is one of the important policies in establishing and consolidating the army forces during Nguyen dynasty. Soldiers during Nguyen dynasty not only received salaries (including rice and land) and the government allowances, but also received food allowances from the local authorities. These policies reflected not only the political situation but also the domestic policy and economic situation of Nguyen dynasty.
