THE STATE OF ECONOMIC GROWTH QUALITY IN DA NANG CITY DURING 2010-2023: A MULTIDIMENSIONAL PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Quality growth focuses on stable development, positive structural shifts in the economy, efficient use of production factors, improvement of social welfare, environmental sustainability, and enhanced economic competitiveness. The research focuses on analyzing the quality of economic growth in Da Nang City from 2010 to 2023 through a multidimensional approach. Findings indicate that Da Nang has achieved high and relatively stable economic growth. However, since 2020, growth has significantly declined and become less stable due to the impact of the pandemic. Economic growth in Da Nang has improved social welfare and the quality of life for its residents. Nevertheless, several issues remain, such as the economy's reliance on extensive growth driven primarily by capital and labor, slow economic restructuring, a high but declining level of competitiveness, and unresolved environmental challenges.
