GIS-BASED SPATIAL PLANNING FOR SPECIALIZED LUAN VAN GRAPEFRUIT CULTIVATION AREAS IN THANH HOA PROVINCE BASED ON LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT

Abstract

This paper uses GIS and a weighted landscape assessment method (CQ evaluation) to propose spatial plans for the sustainable development of specialized grapefruit cultivation areas of the Luan Van variety. The study utilizes a 1:900,000-scale landscape map and thematic maps of Thanh Hoa Province. The research focuses on 65 landscape types and the ecological requirements of the Luan Van grapefruit. The results show that the landscape of the study area is highly diverse and offers favorable potential for developing specialized Luan Van grapefruit cultivation zones in Thanh Hoa Province.
