The Japanese approach to Western Civilization and learning experience for Vietnam
Abstract
Japan seems to be the most successful nation in Asian, and it also seems to be the great power in the world with the highest socio-economic development. One of the chief reasons for Japan’s success is that since the founding of the nation, Japanese people have always been aware of studying other countries. They realized: the imitation is beneficial for the development and prosperity of their country. In the past, three great waves of civilization from outside influenced Japanese: The first, the Chinese civilization in the seventh century - VIII. Second, in the second half of the 19th century Japanese comprehend the Western civilization, and the American civilization absorbed after the Second World War. This article focuses on clarifying the impact of acquiring Western - American civilizations on Japanese society and comparing with Vietnam to find similarities and differences.
