Research on strengthening soft foundation of bridgehead road by reinforced concrete piles
Abstract
Many roads that have been invested with thousands of billions of Vietnams dong when put into operation still have the sign "the road is monitoring subsidence", especially a section that has been put into operation for nearly ten years and continues to "wait for subsidence," causing problems doubts about the quality of the work. There is often a substantial settlement deviation on these road sections at the contiguous position between the road and the bridge or where there is a culvert across the road. This causes discomfort for passengers and drivers despite slowing down. This paper presents a solution to strengthen the soft foundation with reinforced concrete piles to overcome the existing problem and apply it to a typical bridgehead road segment. Research results can be used as references for similar works.
