Operation and maintenance model for clean water supply system Binh Luc district, Ha Nam province

Abstract

    Binh Luc District, Ha Nam Province has 07 water supply systems in 7 communes (Hung Cong, Bình My Town, An Ninh, Phu Phuc, Boi Cau, Ngoc Lu, Vu Ban). The management operation, most of the buildings were built after local delivery. Survey results found in management and operation of water supply in the rural focus in the study area and some exist: Quality Drinking convention activities in a number of other works Popular minimum standards (monitoring level A) by the Ministry of Health Decision No. 1329 dated 18/4/2002, (ii) the high rate of loss, (iii) Many treatment facilities degraded or damaged corrupted. (iv) Special issue of watershed protection, most of the water supply from surface water, agricultural irrigation or river, the lack of hygiene protection for watersheds. Almost these above disadvantages comes from the weak of operation and maintenance. So, it is necessary to develop new model for better operation, maintenance and management in Binh Luc district, Hanam Province.
