Abstract

Cyclic sequencing batch reactor technology is very effective for nitrogen removal, was studied, developped by Mervyn C. Goronszy since 1978 forhigh strength BOD, good ratio BOD/N in wastewater indevelopedcountries than Vietnam. While in Vietnam today - where combined sewage network was built, with septic tanks in each family and so BOD and ratio of BOD / N are very low. A current practice in Vietnam where all wastewater treatment plants has been built with the concentration of pollutants in wastewater is lower than design. Research conducted during the control of operation of Yen So wastewater treatment plant in condition to reduce the excessive amounts of wastage sludge at the same time allowing for the increased flow shows stability in the removal of N, and the dependence of nitrogen removal on MLSS in BOD and ratio of BOD/TN in wastewater are low.
