Ground engaging tools (GET) on the earthmoving machine operation efficiency

Abstract

    Ground Engaging Tools (GET) on the attachments take a remarkable account in cost per ton of the earth moving machines. Various types of GET can be installed on each earth moving machine's attachment. Each type of GET is designed for effective operation in a specific application. Therefore, studying, selecting, managing and utilizing GET for suitable applications will bring significant results in earth moving.

     This study will focus on GET frequently used on excavators: Analyzing the importance of management and selection of GET; Studying the GET impacts on the earthmoving equipment operation efficiency; Studying the common GET types and their applications and making recommendations on selecting and utilyzing them effectively.
