Applying CVM to estimate the willingness to pay value of water household uses in rural area in Red river basin (Vietnam)

Abstract

    Using CVM is one of the most important method in gathering data for studies measuring natural resources and environmental value. This paper is about some issues emerging in practice of determining economic value of water household uses in rural area in Red River Basin (Việt nam). They are the ones of sample sizes selection, measurement of household imcome in rural areas, influence of heteroscendacity of the samples, influence of sampling methods, capacity of the student-interviewers, ets. By these the authors would like to improve the course on Natural Resources and Environmental Economics to the students in order to help them to be a useful practioner in the field.
