Application of HEC-HMS model in flood estimating for rivers in Quang Tri and Binh Dinh

Abstract

     Recently, flooding had more regularly happened in the central part of Viet Nam where a successfully ideal solution against flood and its consequences not yet completed. Due to an accurate flood simulation and estimation, it would be very useful in flood controlling and mitigating for whole area. This paper presents the application of HEC-HMS model in flood simulating and estimating for the typical Ben Hai, Hieu and Thach Han, and Kone River in Quang Tri and Binh Dinh province.
