Erosion of riverbank and canal in Bac Lieu, Ca Mau

Abstract

   In due the need of economics development set up the system of rivers and canals in Bac Lieu and Ca Mau under stress. The erosion of their banks has been increased in term of tendency of servely impacts on the environment, causing confusion to the communities living along rivers and canals. Analysis process of formation and development of the river system, human activities on the river system and the phenomenon of sea level rise, the author has assessed the situation, analyzing the causes and determinants, solutions is recommended to prevent and mitigate damage caused by erosion of river banks, canals in Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces.
