Selection of the maximum flow rate for the river flow diversion design for constructions when the main construction is involved in the flow diversion

Abstract

    At present, selection of the maximum flow rate for the river flow diversion design for constructions is carried out in accordance with the QCVN 04-05:2012/BNN&PTNT regulation, however, the selection mainly considers the type of the construction without specific consideration of the influence from the volume of the upstream reservoir. This article discusses the arguments and suggests consideration of the upstream reservoir volume for selection of the maximum flow rate when the main construction is involved in the flow diversion.
