Orientation solutions of water supply for shrimp farming in the South central coast region

Abstract

    Brackish shrimp farming is a crucial livelihood of farmers in the South Central Coast regionthrough appropriate farming conditions with huge potential area. However, the sector has notdeveloped adequately with the potential due to very poor infrastructure of water supply and wastewater treatment. This study will summarize and assess the current state of water supply anddrainage infrastructure in shrimp farming areas in the South Central Coast, performence of waterbalance and propose technical solutions for water supply infrastructure in zoning areas. The resultsare the basis for the development of the water supply planning in the area as well as the plan ofinvestment of infrastructure in each farming area to ensure sustainable development and stablelivelihoods for local people.
