Abstract

The Central Highlands and South Central have natural conditions that are related closely, including topography, rivers and water sources. In both regions, there are many large irrigation and hydropower projects that change the water conditions of each region fundamentally. Drought and lack of water are
happening continuously and increasingly fierce causing great damage in the two regions with the main cause related directly to the ability of water resources. This research on assessing the distribution and relationship of water resources between the South Central and the Central Highlands uses statistical synthesis methods combined with hydrographical modeling to comprehensively assess water sources and relation levels of water resources in river basins under current conditions and climate change scenarios. The results of the study are one of the important bases in the planning of water resource management for production and the prevention of water shortage drought in the Central Highlands and South Central provinces
