Determining the cause of the embankment slip at segment encroaching on the lake and propose solutions

Abstract

    Construction of embankment on soft soil is a very complex issue and needs to be fully and comprehensively considered. Many incidents happened that the designer as well as the constructor could not have foreseen. This paper presents the results of the study to determine the cause of the instability of the embankment of the segment encroaching on the lake of a specific project, thereby proposing a suitable solution in terms of economic and technical terms. Research results can be used as references for similar works
