Abstract

This paper presents the results of the study on the effect of fly ash (FA) and granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) contents on the properties of high-strength fine-grained concrete without cement. The concrete mixture has good workability and its design compressive strength at the age of 28 days is over 70 MPa. In which, FA and GBFS are used as alumino-silicate materials, NaOH and Na2SiO3 solutions are used as the alkali-activator solution to activate ash-slag materials. The content of FA/GBFS was surveyed at 80/20, 60/40, 40/60, and 20/80, respectively. The obtained results show that the prospect of reusing industrial solid wastes to produce environmentally friendly cement-free high-strength finegrained concrete..
