Reliability analysis of earth dams

Abstract

      Approaching to the technical standards of developed countries and applying the modern methods of calculation to improve the accuracy of the design decisions as well as to manage the quality of earth dams is one of the advanced research directions in the field of Dams and Reservoirs Safety in Vietnam today. The main content of this paper is to analyze the probability of earth dam safety according to the stochastic theory - level II. The paper also gives the results of the calculations of earth dam safety according to the Vietnamese standards and European standards. This paper includes the results of the last studies and can be considered to be the reference for research in the field of dam and reservoir safety.
