Application of visual arts (sculpture – painting - industrial art) in landscape organization on hydropower works architecture

Abstract

     In architecture in general and hydropower works architecture in particular, visual arts with various forms of manifestation play an important role in landscape organization. Visual arts contribute to enrich architectural language for architectural environment. The power of architectural manifestation will be greatly enhanced by the presence of sculptures, paintings, reliefs, etc. Many hydropower projects in the world have become tourism destinations attracting thousands of tourists to visit not only for its magnificient beauty but also for its appreance as rich art works such as the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River - U.S. or the Tam Hiep Dam on the Yangtze river - China, etc.
