Initial assessment on the method for determining design water level of discharge tank of drainage pumping station

Abstract

     This paper introduces the initial assessment result on the current method for determining design water level of discharge tank of drainage pumping station which is based on the observed data at Nhan Hoa drainage pumping station. By comparing the water level at the discharge tank of the pumping station and water level of the Red river, the paper evaluated wasteful head and wasteful energy of the pumping station due to the limitation of the method which makes bottom elevation of discharge channel higher.
