Effectiveness evaluation of flooding reduction in solutions applied to store rain-water for Water Resources University

Abstract

    Every year, Hanoi experiences a number of heavy rain which cause flooding with different levels of influence. The estimated damage to Hanoi can be trillions dong per year. The cause of flooding is rain - rainnwater control is the sustainable solutions to solve drainage problems. There are two methods of rain-water control: (1) To collect and store rain-water for the needs of human, (2) To lead rain water into the ground. In this paper, the author will conduct a quantitative assessment of damage caused by urban flooding and the effectiveness of flooding reduction of solutions applied to store rain-water for Water Resources University.
