The correlation among the soil compaction, the permeability coefficient and the soil cohesion - recommendations on the compacting factor determination

Abstract

    Based on the analysis of the experimental results, the author determines the correlation between the compacting factor and the permeability coefficient (K_t), the soil cohesion (C) and the soil inner friction angle (φ) of the clay type soil. Then, the suitable soil compaction coefficient is proposed for the backfill soil in the high humidity condition as of the Ta Trach dam and similar works.
