Technical solutions to improve the effectiveness of the set of wells for lowering the ground water level on running sand foundation

Abstract

     Structures that are built on running sand foundation require a lowered ground water level (HMNN) during the construction of foundation base, lowering ground water level is very important since it will affect the success of construction as well as construction cost, foundation quality and the whole structure quality.

     Nowaday, many constructions are successful when applying this method, but there are still many others fail because of some reasons. This article analyses the theory and the empirical solutions at worksites and then proposing the technical solution to improve the effectiveness of the works.
