Environmental pollution asessment and solution proposal on pollution reduction for bamboo - rattan trade village in Ha Tay province

Abstract

      Bamboo-handicraft trade villages have been quickly developed in the North provinces in general and in Ha Tay province in particular. This development brings high economy effects for rural areas, helps reduce poverty which is in conformity with rural industrialization and moderlisation works of the Communist Party and Government. However, environmental pollution is a big challenge for the sustainable development of these bamboo-handicraft trade villages. This article analyses current environmental status of some typical bamboo-handicraft trade villages and proposes measures reducing environmental impacts which would contribute to build bamboohandicraft trade villages as traditional cultural - economic trade villages.
