Some results assess the current frequency of flood of north dike of Dinh river in Ninh Thuan province by reliability theory

Abstract

     North dike of Dinh river has a very important task is to prevent flooding of the largest river in Ninh Thuan province for entire Phan Rang - Thap Cham city. In recent years, the flood situation of Dinh river occur with increasing frequency and more severity than before. In addition, dikes are now also not consistent with actual economic and social development of Ninh Thuan province recent years and orientation planning development of Phan Rang - Thap Cham in the future. Therefore, purpose of the study is to solve the overall problem of designing upgrades to the North dike of Dinh river by probabilistic design and reliability analysis. This paper presents a part of the overall problem mentioned above.
