The fresh - salt distribution and the possible reserves of groundwater in quaternary sediments on coastal delta zones of Ninhthuan province

Abstract

The groundwater on coastal delta zones of Ninh Thuan distributed in two mainly aquifers are Holocene and Pleistocene layers, this zone covers an area of 672 km2. The fresh water of Holocene layer on the all about delta covers an area of 115,8 km2 and Pleistocene layer cover an area of 197 km2. In the remaining parts, the groundwater had intruded by the sea water, impossible for using. The water content of fresh water parts only at foor level to medium level, the possible resveres of qh layer are 28.250 m3/day and qp layer are 65.848 m3/day.
