Abstract

The formation and development of industrial zones in Quang Nam province has significantly increased the wave of investment attraction in the locality, GRDP increased by nearly 11% per year in the period 2015 - 2020. However, the strong development of industrial activities also comes with many challenges and environmental impacts on Quang Nam province such as: The amount of solid waste, wastewater and emissions generated is increasing, environmental quality is changing complicatedly and has not been fully controlled. In addition, the development of industrial zones also affects social issues such as the accompanying infrastructure of industrial parks, people's health, employment, etc. This article analyzes the impacts of industrial zone development on the environment and society in Quang Nam province, thereby proposing solutions to control pollution and limit negative impacts from industrial park activities on the environment of Quang Nam province.
